Locked Out in Paradise

But it’s not just about the logistics. It’s about the unexpected moments, the little hiccups that turn into unforgettable stories (even if they’re a tad embarrassing at the time!). And that brings me to one of my absolute favourite memories with a Go Adventure Travel couple…

Picture this: Newlyweds. Mauritius. Sunset. Romance is in the air. They’ve just enjoyed a beautiful evening and decide to soak in the last of the warm night air on their balcony. Little did they know, that sliding door had a sneaky automatic lock.

Fast forward to 11 PM, and I get a slightly frantic WhatsApp call:

“We’re locked OUT! We can’t call internationally, but we’re stuck on the balcony!”

After a lovely (and much-needed) laugh to break the ice of their newfound predicament, we got in touch with the resort. Thankfully, their romantic balcony escapade had a happy ending, with a very apologetic staff member letting them back into their honeymoon suite.

This, my friends, is just a tiny glimpse into the wonderful (and sometimes slightly absurd) adventures we share with our clients.
